Shelter/Rescue Reiki & Animal Reiki

For the past 5yrs, since 2020, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to offer socialization support and Reiki for cats at Kingdom Animal Shelter in St. Johnsbury, VT.

When cats enter the shelter, their lives have been turned upside down. 

Perhaps they were found as stray or abandoned. Maybe their owner passed away, they lost their home, some come from a stressful home environment and may have experienced some sort of trauma, or perhaps they have health issues. 

To support shelter cats to release stress, trauma or fear physically, mentally and emotionally, I spend Sundays at the shelter offering gentle, quiet Reiki and Meditation sessions to assist them in releasing their past in order to move into their future.

Gentle Reiki, meditation and socialization sessions offered in shelter settings promote a sense of peace and calm for animals, supporting their ability to trust, bond and transition from sadness to happiness in preparation for adoption into a new forever home.

As a result of these sessions, the shelter becomes a calm peaceful environment for the cats, as well as the volunteers and community who visit.
